The Vision

Brag Enterprises Limited is a
Local Economic Development Agency 
based in Fife Scotland which aims
to assist in the creation of a vibrant 
and healthy economy in Central Fife.
An economy in which all the key
indicators are at least on par
with Scotland as a whole.

 

The Challenge

Central Fife is an area of high levels of poverty and multiple deprivation.
It is an area of large scale unemployment, low educational attainment and 
poor commercial infrastructure. However it is also an area of tremendous
community spirit, co-operative effort and unbound potential.

The Project

We aim to assist in the regeneration of
the Central Fife economy by promoting 
Local Economic Development, Learning and 
Training and Small Business Development.

 

Local Economic Development

The LED initiative will:

          Support and develop new and existing community businesses.
          Develop community economic initiatives.
          Support communities and individuals in accessing LED funds

Learning and Training

The Learning and Training initiative will:

Continue full time Vocational Training Programmes.
Develop Telematics based and Flexible Learning 
Programmes.
Encourage employee development programmes.
Provide a range of part time programmes.
Establish advice, guidance and support networks.

 

Small Business Development

The Small Business Development initiative will:

          Continue the work of the Crosshill Business Centre.
          Support the growth of existing small business.
          Establish Crosshill Business Centre as a focus for growth.
          Develope new managed workspace in Lochgelly.

William and Heather while Studying at Glenrothes College designed and created this site as part of their Higher National Diploma in Computing (support). Both have now completed their studies and are currently working as Community Training Assistants with Glenrothes College.


William's career in computers
started when he was unemployed and
decided to return to education.
Enrolling on the Introduction to
Computers course at BRAG Enterprises.
This led to him going on to Glenrothes College
to study HND Computing (support).
He and Heather have developed this site as part
of their course studies.
William is now running an Internet Cafe
within BRAG Enterprises.
Heather's interest in computers
started when she decided to return
to education. Enrolling at Glenrothes
College, for a short course called 
Option & Choices, she was introduced 
to computers on the course and decided 
to continue into further education in
computing
